Gwenn LeMoine, owner and founder of Parlor.  With over thirty years in the industry, she is Parlor’s most experienced  hairdresser with a wealth of knowledge to pull from. In the hair cutting realm she is known for her unique layer techniques which bring out texture potential in both long and short hair. Her goal is to provide low maintenance style that embraces her guest’s unique attributes. If she had to pick a favorite cut, it would be the graduated bob because of its ability to give an immense amount of style with very little daily upkeep.  Gwenn says, “A haircut defines your style of course, but can also enhance facial features while downplaying shortcomings.  The right haircut can allow you to wear a t-shirt and jeans, but portray tons of style.” Her process starts with a very personalized consultation (never rushed) going through images to be sure both guest and herself are speaking the same language.  She then sets about to define the structure of the haircut while wet, finishing the cut after the blowdry with tons of personalized detailing. Her other love is color…don’t get her started on her theories on grey hair and subtle highlighting!

Her work has been featured on television (SNL, VH1, ETV) in magazines (including features in Real Simple, Nylon, New York Times Style Section, and Paste Magazine) at Fashion Week representing Aveda, and awards shows such as the Tony’s, and Emmy’s . Her preference above all, however, is to work with real life people and interesting eccentric celebrity personalities such as Piper Kerman, Rue Mcclanahan, Molly Ringwald, Twyla Tharp, and William Wegman  to name a few.  For a history of Gwenn’s career and how she founded Parlor please see “Her Story” page.
